Portfolio
My work involves a varied selection of work details, so here are a few examples of the work I have been involved in, divided by category.
GIS Work
This project involved my analysis using vector methods of fundamental GIS operations such as clipping, intersection, select by location proximity analysis, and buffer zones to determine suitability of a biomass plant development in the state of Alabama.
This document serves as an example of a digital elevation model using raster analysis.
VISTA/Habitat Work
This was the functioning operating manual I created for the Habitat affiliate I served during my time of service. All confidential data has been scrubbed cleaned, but it tracked the staff, the contacts I made, the events and systems I worked with, and had a legend for reference.
This was a presentation I put together for a community group that I attended on a monthly basis called Powerful Choices. They advocated for community engagement in the town of River Falls, mainly for sustainability and current events happening in the town.
This was the recap that summarized everything I learned in my Fundraising & Development course. It pointed out the different sources of fundraising, how donors think, ways to approach asking for funds, any many other useful things that are essential for non-profits to survive and continue to do their mission work. It also showed potential development that could be done to improve the fundraising structure of the Habitat affiliate.
This is the summary of a grant which I applied for and received from the United Way on behalf of the Habitat affiliate.
This is the brochure I created as our overall marketing material which I would take with me and disperse throughout the community for engagement. It tells our basic information, what we are up to, and what we are looking to do in the time frame I served there.
Here is the website where I created a chronological archive for the current build the affiliate was doing in Hammond, WI. It has 500+ pictures categorized by month and day of the week. It also has a connection to the YouTube channel I set up where none had been in place before. I also created multiple social media accounts to place under HootSuite as the social media manager platform for the affiliate.
This was the tracking document I used to track my numbers for funds raised, services performed, beneficiaries added, volunteers coordinated, and multiple other things during my time serving my Habitat affiliate.
This recap summarized everything I learned during my continued education course for Volunteer Mobilization. It mainly pointed out the finer points of the course, as well as tied into possible developments that could be done to improve the volunteer coordination structure of the Habitat affiliate.
This was our final version of our annual appeal letter which I put together and then had a final copy put together by a printing company (included price comparison between two companies and multiple mock-ups to choose from). This was also part of the simple two-tiered donor structure for the affiliate which I put together the data for and also the campaign for.
This is the Fundraising metric I created to provide useful data to analyze the cash flows present for the affiliate. The data for this has been scrubbed for confidentiality, however the legend and several other categories I created remain. Our fundraising calendar plan and template for grant deadlines is attached at the end, as well as a donor pyramid, and explanation for the definitions we were using in our database (which I also cleaned up and created an auto-letter generator for donor thank-you letters).
This was the final newsletter I created using the Constant Contact system for the affiliate's multiple stakeholders. By the time I was done serving, the sectors were segmented and growing. I also had to use multiple formats before I settled on this one to be completed in an iterative way for the next VISTA.
